Linda Lewis - Hacienda View ** 1979

One of the more obscure Linda Lewis albums from the Arista years -- a late 70s effort done with production and arrangements from Mike Batt! Mike changes things up a bit from the previous Arista sets -- going for a mix of modes that pushes Lewis past straighter soul, into some more dynamic modes -- almost what you'd get on a singer/songwriter album of the time, but with relatively full production styles. Lewis' vocals are as great as always, and almost have a bit more power in the setting -- and titles include "109 Jamaica Highway", "My Aphrodisiac Is You", "That's Love", "Rolling For A While", "Save The Last Dance For Me", "It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time", "Sleeping Like A Baby", and "Beggars & Kings".
